The Universidad Portucalense Infante D. Henrique (UPT) is a private institution of higher education, created in June 1986, with headquarters in Porto. The UPT is organized into four departments: 1) Law, 2) Psychology and Education, 3) Tourism, Heritage and Culture, and 4) Economics, Management and Information Technology. It teaches the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles of university education, as well as postgraduate courses in accordance with the Bologna process.
UPT aims to be a model in higher education, taking advantage of the synergies between its departments. In addition to the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, students have the opportunity to develop research projects and practical work, developing a whole series of skills that prepare them for work in future careers and for life in a competitive global society. UPT has about 2000 students. Its labor market insertion rate depends on the area of study, reaching 100% in the area of ICT.

Students are our priority and the intellectual training we provide aims to provide all our graduates with first class professional training, developing their individual potentialities and their personal and professional skills. In order to achieve these objectives, courses are structured to respond flexibly to the changing needs of the labour market, through various teaching methods, applying whenever possible empirical methods based on meaningful case studies.
